FFmpeg FLV Video Conversion Tutorial
Surfing around the web is my addiction, but it keeps me out of trouble and sometimes I find something you need to know. Today's discovery is a great "how-to" put together by Alx Klive on how to use FFmpeg in your video conversions.
FFmpeg is part of an open source project that has a variety of software offerings including video servers, video players etc. and you can read up on all the details of FFmpeg over on the Wikipedia page.
But, to the nuts and bolts of FFmpeg. Alx explains why FLV video conversion tools typically are missing the GUI (Graphic User Interface) and goes on to lament the "bad habits" some free video converters have.
One downside, which may be an upside, depending how you view it, is that FFmpeg is a command line interface. That may stop a lot of people, but Alx does a great job of leading us through the process.
He explains, in a step-by-step fashion, how to install, run and convert using FFmpeg.
At least read through it. It may be your answer.
